Artist Statement

My work explores how perception changes through the body, the camera, and the spaces we inhabit. Working across photography and painting, I use optical distortion, shifting viewpoints, and fragmented forms to examine the distance between outward appearance and lived experience.

My photographic series investigate how glass, lenses, and spatial perspective shape what can be seen. In the studio, I am developing paintings that approach related questions through the face, gesture, and the pressures of social performance. These bodies of work remain distinct, while each gives me another way to ask how we see and are seen.
