David Ohly is a Calgary-based artist working across photography and painting. He holds a Bachelor of Design in Photography and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting.

His photographic work uses glass, optical distortion, and altered spatial perspectives to explore how images shape our experience of the world. His current studio research extends these questions into painting, with a focus on fragmented figures, social performance, and the experience of being seen. He develops each series through sustained experimentation and reflection.
